This weekend, Sagamore Hill celebrates Theodore Roosevelt's beloved pets and the many dog-lovers who visit the site.
The historic house will host Dog Day Sunday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
In honor of the Roosevelt family's many four-legged friends and of dog walkers who continue to support the site through its renovation, Sagamore Hill will host an event all about man's best friend.
The event is free for all people and animals who attend.
At 2 p.m., the Friends of Sagamore Hill will sponsor costume contests, trick contests, and give prizes for oldest, youngest, biggest, and smallest dogs.
Friendly dogs who attend should be leashed at the event.
