Beach Cleanup at Roosevelt Park
28th annual International Coastal Cleanup is Saturday at 8 a.m. in Oyster Bay.
The 28th Annual International Coastal Cleanup will target the beach at Theodore Roosevelt Park locally.
The event, sponsored by the Ocean Conservancy and American Littoral Society, is Saturday from 8 a.m.-noon.
The Town of Oyster Bay, Oyster Bay Sail & Power Squadron, North Oyster Bay Baymen's Association and Friends of the Bay are jointly coordinating the effort locally.
Volunteers can sign up or obtain more information by calling 516-677-5943.
Trash bags and data sheets provided. Volunteers should bring work gloves and sturdy footwear.
