The car, a gray Nissan, was found in Syosset Plaza near Jericho Turnpike at about 1 a.m. Tuesday, News 12 reported. The keys were found inside the vehicle.

Joseph was last known to be in the vicinity of 37 Stuart Drive in Syosset on Monday, Feb. 24.

Once police determined that the license plates matched that of Joseph’s vehicle, they recovered the car, News 12 said.

When Joseph was originally reported missing, her family had assumed she was heading to NYIT Old Westbury for class, but the college later reported that she had not been a student there since May 2013.
