Two people were injured in separate incidents Sunday at the Oyster Festival in Oyster Bay. A water fire boat water cannon struck a woman in the head and a food stand worker sustained facial propane burns, reported Newsday.
A 19-year-old man was hospitalized after he was burned in the face as he lit propane at a food stand, said the report. He was transported to the hospital at about 11 a.m. for minor injuries, said Newsday.
Later, a 48-year-old woman was struck in the head by a water cannon at about 12:50 p.m., said the report. She reportedly refused medical attention.
