Man Hospitalized After Drive-Thru Crash

Police said elderly man crashed into dumpsters.

An elderly man was hospitalized Wednesday morning after he crashing into a wall and dumpster at McDonald's in Oyster Bay, police reported.

Nassau County Police responded to the scene at about 9 a.m. Wednesday to the McDonald's on Pine Hollow Road. Responders reported that an elderly man, while in the drive-thru area of the parking lot, crashed his car through a cement wall and into a dumpster.

The man was sent to a Glen Cove hospital for treatment of injuries. His status has not yet been reported.

Police did not identify the man nor the cause of the accident.
