"Scratch Surprise" Mug (Grades 5-12 as of Sept. 2014)

Oyster Bay-East Norwich Public Library, Neighbor

The Madd Potter will be here to help you paint a "Scratch Surprise" mug. Apply layers of neon paint under a black glaze, and using a toothpick students will then "scratch away" the glaze to reveal the bright colors underneath. Mugs will be fired in a pottery kiln so they are food and dishwasher safe. They will be ready to pick up at the library on August 15. Registration began in June for OB-EN residents and on July 21 for non-residents, space permitting. Stop by the Reference Desk or call the library at 922-1212 to register.
