20th Century Helps with Sandy Relief

Book signing event in Oyster Bay will donate percentage of proceeds to Sandy relief.

Billy Joel's famed 20th Century Cycles will be doing its part to help Sandy-stricken neighbors Saturday.

Author Tom Cotter will be signing copies of his book, Rockin' Garages, from 10-2 p.m. at the shop and donating parts of the profits to Sandy relief for Long Islanders.

According to Tom Cotter's Facebook, the book signing scheduled for Saturday from 10-2 p.m. will go on as planned with an added benefit.

"I will be donating $5 from the sale of each book and Billy [Joel] will be donating $5 from each t-shirt sale to Harry Chapin's Long Island Cares food bank, which will assist in storm relief for stricken Long Island families," he wrote.

J. Geils from The J. Geils Band and guitar designer and musician Jol Dantzig are also planning to attend.

20th Century Cycles will continue to donate $5 from every t-shirt sold throughout November to the cause.
