Oyster Bay Welcomes New Businesses

La Nonna's Pizzeria, Long Island Picture Framing, The Knitted Purl open in Oyster Bay business district.

Three new businesses now call downtown Oyster Bay home, holding their grand openings this past weekend.

The Knitted Purl, La Nonna's Pizzeria, and Long Island Picture Framing were welcomed to the Oyster Bay community on Saturday, holding ribbon cuttings and grand opening parties.

The brand new shops and eateries added to the continuing diversity of the Oyster Bay business district. The Knitted Purl is a brand new yarn and fiber boutique, according to the Oyster Bay Chamber of Commerce.

“This store is just gorgeous, with a magnificent array of yarns, comfortable seating, and delightful owners Pati McSkane and Lynda Kent," said Nassau Legislator Judy Jacobs, who hopped to all three grand openings.

La Nonna's Pizzeria serves Italian staples like pizza, ziti, eggplant rolls, and stromboli.

“We all enjoyed the delicious pizza, the delightful personalities of the owners, and wished them well in their location,”  said Jacobs.

Long Island Picture Framing & Art Gallery is a gallery with "beautiful pictures, wonderful corners to relax on comfortable couches and absorb the beauty of the establishment,” said Jacobs.
